Guest Speakers Leah and Ricky Boleto Leah and Ricky Boleto are best known for their roles as presenters on BBC Newsround. As well as wrestling with how to share the story of Coronavirus with young people, their experiences of the last 12 months have been life changing. From welcoming a baby girl during a global pandemic, moving house, working from home and even building a BBC studio in their garden shed. Rachel Vecht Rachel Vecht founded ‘Educating Matters’ 20 years ago and works with Diversity & Inclusion, L&D, HR teams, Employee Benefits and internal networks to engage and support employees (with a special focus on parents & carers). Educating Matters provide guidance on inclusion, changing cultures and bespoke training (through varied formats such as seminars, webinars, workshops, 1:1 coaching, resources & videos). They help employers support and enhance the wellbeing of employees, so these employees are focused, productive, empowered, loyal and motivated. Their extensive client list covers a wealth of different sectors including: banking & finance, legal, retail, accounting, tech, construction, media, pharmaceuticals, food, utilities and recruitment. Rachel’s practical support draws on her experiences as a school teacher but also the real, every day experience of being a mother to 4 children (aged between 20 and 11) and the challenges of merging work and family. She aims to equip parents and carers with the skills necessary to maximise the quality of precious time they spend with their children at home and get the very best out of them. In addition to her work in the corporate setting, she provides talks in schools and delivers a ten week ‘Positive Parenting and Family Skills’ course and 1:1 consultations for parents globally. She also regularly contributes to articles on parenting and education in the national press and other online forums. Jon Ford & Jez Belas - Life on Time Passionate about young people’s wellbeing, Jon and Jez are part of the team working on LifeonTime. - a student and teacher wellbeing resource for schools and colleges. Jon is a performance and wellbeing coach and the founder of Life on Time and Become Inspired coaching. A qualified sport and exercise scientist, trained in psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, he has a passion for empowering people with the skills so they can achieve their potential and live healthy, fulfilled and meaningful lives. Jez is a qualified sport and exercise scientist and strength and conditioning coach. He is also the current head of wellbeing at Leighton Park school and a Parkour Fitness specialist.

In her work over the last two decades she has continuously analysed the gender differences of audiences internationally, including key differences in their media and news consumption. Richard Addy - After being a Trustee of Mind, the UK’s leading mental health charity, for 9 years, Richard was appointed by the Board as chair of Mind's Race Equality Advisory Board and as a board advisor. He has also given university lectures for the Adab Trust, a charity that helped ethnic minority undergraduates gain employment. Since 2020, Richard has sat on the Creative Council of Africa No Filter, an organisation that aims to change global narratives about Africa. Clover Hogan - Clover Hogan is a 21-year-old climate activist, researcher on eco-anxiety, and the Founder and Executive Director of Force of Nature. Force of Nature is a youth non-profit mobilising mindsets for climate action. Through virtual programmes, they empower young people in 50+ countries to cultivate mindsets of agency, purpose and resilience; and work with decision-makers across business, policy and civil society to drive intergenerational solutions.

Annette Joseph - Diverse & Equal Founder, Annette Joseph, is an award winning Agile Coach/Delivery Manager who has worked in and around Tech for over 20 years. Her #icantbreathe article in response to the murder of George Floyd has been viewed over 22k times. In response, a BlackTech GoFundMe was created to fund research and training to measure the impact of tech on Black people and Black communities in the north of England. Parisa Wright - Parisa is a busy working mum living in South East London. By day a mild mannered media lawyer, by night (and lunches and weekends, being honest) she runs local not for profit Greener & Cleaner Bromley & Beyond (GCBB).
